As a therapist, I bring extensive experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds. My commitment lies in fostering an inclusive environment where diversity is not just acknowledged but celebrated.

I place great emphasis on honoring, exploring, and embracing intersectionality in my work. This means acknowledging that our identities—such as race, gender, sexuality, and culture—do not exist in isolation, but overlap and shape our experiences in complex ways.

By recognizing how these intersecting identities influence your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, we can work together to navigate the unique challenges and strengths that come from your lived experiences.

Every person is a mosaic of light and shadow, strengths and vulnerabilities. I believe that healing begins by understanding the experiences, relationships, and patterns that have shaped your life while building on the strengths that already exist within you. This philosophy guides every aspect of my work and informs the areas in which I most often support clients.

Therapy Specialties

Trauma

Trauma can leave lasting effects on how we see ourselves, relate to others, and experience safety in the world. Whether you’ve experienced a recent traumatic event, such as an accident, loss, or medical crisis, or you’re carrying the impact of childhood adversity, attachment wounds, or long-standing relational trauma, healing is possible.

Anxiety

Anxiety can show up in many ways, including persistent worry, racing or intrusive thoughts, panic attacks, difficulty sleeping, perfectionism, feeling overwhelmed, or a constant sense of being “on edge.” While anxiety can be deeply distressing, it is often a signal that something beneath the surface deserves attention. Together, we’ll explore the experiences, relationships, and patterns contributing to your anxiety while developing practical tools to help you feel more grounded, connected, and resilient. Because anxiety and depression often overlap, we’ll also consider how changes in mood, motivation, and daily functioning may be affecting your overall well-being.

Boundaries & Relationship Patterns

This approach focuses on how family relationships and early attachment experiences impact your current emotional and psychological well-being. Family Systems Theory examines patterns and dynamics within a family that influence individual behavior, while Attachment Theory explores how early bonds with caregivers shape your sense of self and your relationships with others.

In therapy, we explore the roles and patterns that developed in your family of origin, identify how these dynamics affect your current relationships, and work toward breaking unhealthy cycles. Attachment work may involve recognizing how early attachment wounds influence your emotional responses, communication, and trust with others. Techniques such as role-playing, exploring family histories, and processing emotions related to past relationships are commonly used to promote healing.

By addressing these foundational aspects in therapy, we can work on healing old wounds, improving your relationship patterns, and fostering healthier, more secure connections in your life.

Life Transitions

Significant life changes—whether beginning a new career, becoming a parent, navigating divorce, experiencing an empty nest, adjusting to perimenopause or menopause, retirement, or other major transitions—can bring uncertainty, grief, and opportunities for growth. Therapy provides a space to navigate these changes with greater clarity, resilience, and self-compassion.

ADHD & Neurodivergence

Living with ADHD or other forms of neurodivergence can affect organization, attention, emotional regulation, relationships, and self-esteem. As a neuroaffirming therapist, I provide a supportive space to better understand your unique way of experiencing the world while developing practical skills to navigate daily challenges. Drawing from CBT, mindfulness, and other evidence-based approaches, we’ll work together to build strategies that support greater balance and well-being. While I am not an ADHD coach, I can help you better understand how ADHD impacts your life and relationships while developing skills that support meaningful change.

Self-Worth & Self-Compassion

Many of us learned that self-criticism was the only way to stay motivated, improve ourselves, or avoid making mistakes. Over time, that inner critic can become so familiar that it’s difficult to imagine another way of relating to yourself. If you struggle with self-doubt, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, or the persistent feeling of “not being good enough,” you’re not alone.
Together, we’ll explore how early relationships and life experiences shaped your inner dialogue, helping you cultivate greater self-compassion, self-worth, and a more supportive relationship with yourself.

Identity and Belonging

Our identities are shaped by the many cultures, relationships, communities, and lived experiences that influence how we see ourselves and the world around us. Navigating multicultural identities, immigration experiences, being bicultural or mixed-race, second-generation experiences, questions of gender or sexual identity, or simply feeling caught between different worlds can bring both unique strengths and complex challenges.
I provide an affirming, culturally responsive space where every aspect of your identity is welcomed with curiosity, respect, and compassion. Together, we’ll explore how your experiences have shaped your sense of self, your relationships, and your sense of belonging while honoring the resilience and richness that make you who you are.
